Throughout the Western world the Owl has been symbolically associated with wisdom, prophecy and spirituality. In other cultures it has a darker symbolism, often associated with magic and seen as an envoy to the Underworld and a harbinger of death.

With this piece I have chosen to represent the qualities of wisdom, truth and spiritual insight.

My intention is to infuse this artwork with the owls ability to see through darkness and deceit and to reveal unseen truths. An all seeing eye is placed at the centre of the design, it's sacred geometries radiate outwards encompassing the owl, whose outstretched wings offer protection.
